Image Representation Based on Multi - Scale EdgeCompensation
In this paper we deene an image model called MSEC (Multi-Scale Edge Compensation) and implement an image compression system based on MSEC. The idea is to represent the image by its multi-scale primal sketch and the background. The experimental results are positive; some important features of MSEC are proved.
متن کاملImage interpolation based on a multi-resolution directional map
This paper describes an interpolation method that takes into account the edge orientation in order to avoid typical interpolation artifacts (jagging, staircase effects...). It is first based on an edge orientation estimation, performed in the wavelet domain. The estimation uses the multi-resolution features of wavelets to give an accurate and non-biased description of the frequency characterist...
متن کاملBiomedical image interpolation based on multi-resolution transformations
We present a novel feature-based image interpolation approach. Two continuous maps for the image domain are constructed via an L-gradient flow based on their multi-resolution representations so that the features of the given images are matched at multiple scales. The flow equation is efficiently solved using a finite element method in the bicubic B-spline vector-valued function space. The inter...
متن کاملMulti-scale GIS based Satellite Image Mapping
Remotely sensed imagery has an enhanced capability of extracting information about small image structures (both artificial and natural objects). Fast, low cost, accurate and spatially rich data can be acquired via remote sensing technology. For this reason, satellite image mapping is quite common technique and image maps provide a great contribution to cartography and Geographic Information Sys...
متن کاملMulti-core large-scale image-based modeling
Large-scale image-based modeling is a challenging and important research topic, which has wide applications in various areas. Existed serial methods consume a significant amount of time for large problems. With the emergence of multi-core computers, it is possible to speed up the method using central processing unit (CPU) parallelism. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of m...
